REACH (EC) 1907\/2006 is een verordening van de Europese Unie (EU). Het is de strengste wet tot nu toe die chemische stoffen reguleert die van invloed zijn op industrie\u00ebn over de hele wereld. Bij de verordening werd ook het Europees Agentschap voor chemische stoffen (ECHA) opgericht, dat de technische, wetenschappelijke en administratieve aspecten van REACH beheert.[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\"><\/div><style>.vcex-heading.vcex_6a035a0871c22{font-weight:700;}<\/style><h2 class=\"vcex-heading vcex-heading-plain vcex-module wpex-heading wpex-text-2xl vcex_6a035a0871c22\"><span class=\"vcex-heading-inner wpex-inline-block\">REACH voor fabrikanten en importeurs<\/span><\/h2><div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\" style=\"height:10px;\"><\/div>[vc_column_text]\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>De belangrijkste door ECHA onder REACH behandelde onderwerpen die van invloed zijn op fabrikanten en importeurs zijn de volgende:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Registratie<\/em>: Bedrijven die chemicali\u00ebn in de EU vervaardigen of importeren in hoeveelheden van meer dan 1 ton per jaar, moeten de stoffen registreren bij het Europees Agentschap voor chemische stoffen (ECHA).<\/li>\n<li><em>Autorisatie<\/em>: Stoffen die als gevaarlijk zijn geclassificeerd, mogen alleen worden vervaardigd of ge\u00efmporteerd als ze zijn geautoriseerd door ECHA.<\/li>\n<li><em>Beperking<\/em>: ECHA kan beperkingen opleggen aan de vervaardiging, het gebruik of de verkoop van stoffen die een risico vormen voor de menselijke gezondheid of het milieu.<\/li>\n<li><em>Communicatie van informatie<\/em>: Bedrijven moeten informatie over het veilige gebruik van stoffen doorgeven aan hun klanten en downstreamgebruikers. Bijvoorbeeld via veiligheidsinformatiebladen (MSDS)<\/li>\n<li><em>Vervanging<\/em>: Waar mogelijk moeten bedrijven gevaarlijke stoffen vervangen door veiligere alternatieven.<\/li>\n<li><em>Informatie over de toeleveringsketen<\/em>: Bedrijven moeten informatie verstrekken over de stoffen die zij gebruiken bij de productie van artikelen, zoals consumptiegoederen, en deze informatie beschikbaar stellen aan consumenten. Bijvoorbeeld de melding en communicatie van zeer zorgwekkende stoffen (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecomatters.nl\/nl\/services\/wetgeving\/reach\/svhc-screening\/\">SVHC<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><em>Testen<\/em>: Bedrijven kunnen verplicht worden aanvullende tests op stoffen uit te voeren om hun potenti\u00eble risico\u2019s verder te beoordelen. Bijvoorbeeld de verplichte beoordeling van SVHC-stoffen in voorwerpen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\"><\/div><style>.vcex-heading.vcex_6a035a08729de{font-weight:700;}<\/style><h2 class=\"vcex-heading vcex-heading-plain vcex-module wpex-heading wpex-text-2xl vcex_6a035a08729de\"><span class=\"vcex-heading-inner wpex-inline-block\">Microplastics onder REACH<\/span><\/h2><div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\" style=\"height:10px;\"><\/div>[vc_column_text]Stoffen die onaanvaardbare gezondheids- of milieurisico\u2019s met zich meebrengen, kunnen binnen het REACH-kader worden beperkt. Er is toenemende bezorgdheid over de vervuiling door microplastics en de risico\u2019s die dit veroorzaakt voor ecosystemen en voedselketens. Jaarlijks komt naar schatting 42.000 ton opzettelijk toegevoegde microplastics in het milieu terecht. Dit zijn microplastics die bewust worden toegevoegd aan producten voor specifieke doeleinden, zoals cosmetica, wasmiddelen, meststoffen, gewasbeschermingsmiddelen, zaadcoating en andere toepassingen.<\/p>\n<p>Om de opzettelijke toevoeging van microplastics in producten die op de Europese markt worden gebracht te voorkomen, heeft de Europese Commissie het European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) gevraagd een restrictievoorstel te ontwikkelen (een zogenaamd Annex XV-rapport). Slechts enkele polymere materialen die aan bepaalde normen voor biologische afbreekbaarheid voldoen, mogen nog steeds aan producten worden toegevoegd die onder het beperkingsvoorstel
