Het stelt een voorkeursvolgorde vast voor het beheer en de verwijdering van afval. Op basis van deze hi\u00ebrarchie moet worden opgemerkt dat, ongeacht de materi\u00eble oorsprong (fossiel of bio) en ongeacht het afbreekbaarheidsprofiel, verlies van materiaal na de levensduur moet worden voorkomen.<\/p>\n<p>Verder legt de KRA uit wanneer afval geen afval meer is en een secundaire grondstof wordt, en hoe afval en bijproducten kunnen worden onderscheiden. De richtlijn introduceerde ook het beginsel &#8220;de vervuiler betaalt&#8221; en de &#8220;uitgebreide producentenverantwoordelijkheid&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Voor gevaarlijke afvalstoffen voorziet de Kaderrichtlijn Afvalstoffen (KRA) in aanvullende etiketterings-, registratie-, monitoring- en controleverplichtingen van &#8220;van de wieg tot het graf&#8221;, met andere woorden van de afvalproductie tot de definitieve verwijdering of nuttige toepassing. Een voorbeeld hiervan is de verplichte registratie in de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecomatters.nl\/nl\/services\/wetgeving\/kaderrichtlijn-afvalstoffen\/scip-database\/\">SCIP-database<\/a> van ECHA.<\/p>\n<p>Het verbiedt ook het mengen van gevaarlijk afval met andere categorie\u00ebn gevaarlijk afval en met niet-gevaarlijk afval. De indeling in gevaarlijke en niet-gevaarlijke afvalstoffen is gebaseerd op de systematiek voor de indeling en etikettering van gevaarlijke stoffen en preparaten (CLP-verordening). Dit zorgt ervoor dat vergelijkbare principes worden toegepast gedurende de hele levenscyclus van materialen.[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\"><\/div><figure
