Het is een eenvoudig hulpmiddel om opties voor het verminderen van koolstofemissies te presenteren in verhouding tot een referentiepunt (meestal een scenario zonder extra maatregelen, het zogenaamde &#8216;business-as-usual&#8217; (BAU) pad). Een MAC-curve geeft een makkelijk te begrijpen visualisatie van verschillende migratie-opties of maatregelen, georganiseerd volgens een enkele, begrijpelijke maatstaf: de economische kosten van emissiereductie.<\/p>\n<p>Marginale reductiekostencurves (MACC&#8217;s) zijn opgedeeld in afzonderlijke &#8216;blokken&#8217;. Elk blok vertegenwoordigt een individuele maatregel of een reeks vergelijkbare maatregelen voor het verminderen van koolstofemissies. Voor elk blok (of maatregel) geeft de breedte de potenti\u00eble CO2-emissiereductie aan (tCO2 per jaar), terwijl de hoogte de marginale kosten van de CO2-emissiereductie schat (\u20ac\/tCO2). Gewoonlijk worden de blokken geordend op volgorde van de laagste kosten waarbij de opties met de laagste kosten, die mogelijk kostenbesparingen vertegenwoordigen (negatieve \u20ac\/tCO2), eerst aan de linkerkant worden weergegeven, gevolgd door opties met hogere kosten naar rechts.[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\" style=\"height:10px;\"><\/div><div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\"><\/div><style>.vcex-heading.vcex_69fe1026acc99{font-weight:700;}<\/style><h2 class=\"vcex-heading vcex-heading-plain vcex-module wpex-heading wpex-text-2xl vcex_69fe1026acc99\"><span class=\"vcex-heading-inner wpex-inline-block\">Waarom een koolstofreductiecurve ontwikkelen?<\/span><\/h2><div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\" style=\"height:10px;\"><\/div>[vc_column_text]Het ontwikkelen van een marginale emissiereductiekostencurve (MACC) biedt verschillende voordelen. Een MACC is nuttig omdat het koolstofemissiereductie-opties in een overzichtelijk en toegankelijk kader plaatst, waarbij maatregelen worden gerangschikt op een eenvoudige economische maatstaf (\u20ac\/tCO2). Hierdoor kunnen maatregelen uit verschillende sectoren (bijvoorbeeld transport en energie) op gelijke voorwaarden worden vergeleken, waardoor het mogelijk is om de grootste en meest kosteneffectieve emissiereductiekansen te identificeren.<\/p>\n<p>Daarom kunnen MACC&#8217;s krachtig zijn bij het initi\u00ebren van een robuuste kaderstelling en het identificeren van opties die verder moeten worden ge\u00ebvalueerd. MACC&#8217;s vormen een goed uitgangspunt voor diepere discussies en analyses, waarbij rekening wordt gehouden met aanvullende belangrijke aspecten en geschikte beleidsopties om het potentieel in elke blok te benutten.<\/p>\n<p>Ondanks de aantrekkelijke eenvoud van een MACC&#8217;s, is voorzichtigheid en expertise vereist bij de interpretatie ervan. Marginale reductiekostencurves alleen zijn niet voldoende om beleidsbeslissingen op te baseren en moeten worden gebruikt in combinatie met andere modellen voor koolstofberekeningen om nauwkeurigheid bij de besluitvorming te waarborgen.[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\"><\/div><style>.vcex-heading.vcex_69fe1026ada20{font-weight:700;}<\/style><h2 class=\"vcex-heading vcex-heading-plain vcex-module wpex-heading wpex-text-2xl vcex_69fe1026ada20\"><span class=\"vcex-heading-inner wpex-inline-block\">Ecomatters ondersteuning bij het ontwikkelen van emissiereductiekostencurves<\/span><\/h2><div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\" style=\"height:10px;\"><\/div>[vc_column_text]Om de potenti\u00eble emissiereducties in een organisatie in beeld te brengen, ondersteunen wij organisaties bij het opstellen van een reductiecurve. We baseren deze keuzes op de volgende aspecten:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Perspectief: Bepalen of jouw organisatie een sociale of zakelijke benadering hanteert.<\/li>\n<li>Interactie van reductiemaatregelen: Onderzoeken of en hoe de reductiemaatregelen op elkaar inwerken.<\/li>\n<li>Emissiereferentiepunt: Kiezen tussen een vastgesteld emissiereferentiepunt op basis van bestaande technologie\u00ebn of een referentiepunt dat rekening houdt met autonome effici\u00ebntieverbeteringen.<\/li>\n<li>Inclusie van maatregelen: Samen bepalen welke maatregelen worden opgenomen in de analyse.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Vervolgens identificeren en kwantificeren we energie-effici\u00ebntieverbeteringen voor verschillende scenario&#8217;s: de huidige situatie, een economisch scenario en een ambitieus scenario. Daarna defini\u00ebren we het reductiepotentieel en de kosten per maatregel, wat resulteert in het genereren van een curve die de relatie weergeeft tussen de marginale reductiekosten en de daadwerkelijke emissiereductie.<\/p>\n<p>De MACC kan worden weergegeven in een histogram of een curvediagram:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Histogram: het histogram beoordeelt de kosten en het reductiepotentieel van elke afzonderlijke reductiemaatregel. Elke balk vertegenwoordigt een specifieke mitigatieoptie.<\/li>\n<li>Curvediagram: De curve geeft de kosten weer, meestal in \u20ac\/t CO2-eq, geassocieerd met de laatste eenheid (de marginale kosten) van emissiereductie. Met de curve kun je de kosten analyseren van de laatst verminderde CO2-eenheid voor een bepaald reductieniveau, terwijl het gebied onder de curve de totale reductiekosten weergeeft.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In beide gevallen, van links naar rechts bewegend, neemt de kosteneffectiviteit van koolstofarme opties af, omdat elke verminderde ton CO2eq duurder wordt. Sommige opties kunnen de uitstoot verminderen en geld besparen, terwijl andere opties kunnen meer uitstoot verminderen, maar gepaard gaan met positieve kosten.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column
