Last week, our team at Ecomatters participated in the 25th Annual Life Cycle Management (LCM) Conference in Palermo. The event brought together experts and practitioners from industry and academia to share their experience and knowledge about life cycle assessment.th
Together with our partner ARCHE Consulting, we contributed to the program with three presentations, sharing our insights on the advancing LCA practices and exchanging ideas with a highly engaged audience. Maria Papavasileiou presented on the end-of-life allocation approaches for polymer recycling, Wouter van Kootwijk described our experiences in applying the PEF method and its connection with European legislation and policy, and Lígia da Silva Lima explained the opportunities and challenges of LCA within the precious metals industry.
As a silver sponsor, Ecomatters and ARCHE Consulting also had a booth at the event. Staffed by several of our team, the booth provided a lively meeting point where we could connect with professionals from a wide range of industries. LCM was an excellent opportunity to meet with our existing clients, strengthen our relationships, and build new connections with like-minded organisations.
Beyond the conference sessions, we also had the opportunity to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Palermo. One highlight was a memorable conference dinner, complete with live music, delicious food, and of course, an Aperol Spritz or two.
Most importantly, the conference gave us meaningful updates on the latest developments in our industry. We came back inspired, with new insights, fresh ideas, and an even stronger network to continue driving sustainability forward together with our clients and partners.
