Eelco van IJken
Senior Consultant
Eelco van IJken is an experienced cleantech innovation manager and senior consultant at Ecomatters where he is involved in project acquisition and project management. He is currently engaged in the delivery and scaling of the Climate Neutral SMEs project and works on a flagship project aiming to increase the circularity of plastics through digitalisation of selected value chains.
In the past, Eelco worked on a number of pan-European innovation projects and navigated complex multi-stakeholder environments. He has a background in urban planning, innovation sourcing, business development and policy development. He specializes in taking a holistic view, rapidly assessing challenges, and then prototyping the necessary solutions to drive innovation forward.
Eelco completed a bachelor’s in Urban Planning at the Hogeschool Utrecht and a master’s at the University of Amsterdam.
