This spring, Ecomatters will host two webinars focussed on circular materials policy and RFNBO certification. The first webinar will focus on multi-cycle Life Cycle Assessment within the Dutch Circular Materials Plan. The second will take a practical look at RFNBO certification and how it works in practice.
Multi-cycle Life Cycle Assessment within the Circular Materials Plan (NL)
On Tuesday, 19 May (10:00–11:00 CET), Ecomatters consultant Mieke de Jager will explain multi-cycle Life Cycle Assessment (mLCA) and its role within the Dutch Circular Materials Plan (CMP).
mLCA is used to assess the environmental impacts of different waste treatment and recycling routes. Within the CMP, it supports decisions on high-quality recycling and circular material use..
This session will provide:
- An introduction to mLCA methodology
- Insights into its application within the CMP
- Context on circular policy developments in the Netherlands
Please note: this webinar is given in Dutch.
A practical guide to RFNBO certification
On Tuesday, 16 June (10:00–11:00 CET), Ecomatters consultant Jur Remeijn will be joined by Julien Courtois, Senior Product Development Manager Hydrogen at Nobian, to deliver a webinar on RFNBO certification.
Under the Renewable Energy Directive (RED), Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBOs) such as green hydrogen, ammonia, and e-fuels are key to decarbonising sectors such as aviation, maritime transport, and heavy industry.
This webinar will cover:
- Key RFNBO certification requirements under RED III
- Compliance steps, including data tracking, mass balance and verification
- The role of LCA and GHG calculations in demonstrating compliance
- How to reduce certification risks through better documentation
